1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how D8A Force LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as LandedParts ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use landedparts.com (the "Site").
It applies whether or not you have an account.
The short version, in plain English:
- We collect your ZIP code so we can calculate shipping and landed cost. It's the core of the product.
- We log what you search for and which vendor links you click, because that's how we know what parts to add and how we get paid.
- We earn affiliate commissions when you click through to a vendor and buy.
- We use analytics and advertising tools that may share information about your visit with third parties like Google, Meta, and TikTok for measurement and advertising.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of our advertising tools may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out — see Section 9.
- We are a small company. We are not a bank, and you should not send us sensitive personal information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us

Please do not submit payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive data to us. We do not process payments and have no need for it. Purchases happen on vendor sites.
A note on VINs. A VIN can be linked to a specific vehicle and, in some circumstances, to you. We use VINs only to decode vehicle attributes and match parts. We do not sell VINs. You can use the Site without entering one.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser type, device type, operating system, screen size, language
- Referring URL (including which forum or ad brought you here)
- Pages viewed, searches run, filters applied, time on page, scroll and click behavior
- Outbound vendor link clicks and associated affiliate tracking identifiers
- Cookie and device identifiers
- Log and diagnostic data, including error events
2.3 Information from third parties
- Affiliate networks (e.g., eBay Partner Network, Rakuten Advertising) may tell us that a click resulted in a conversion, and may provide order value and commission data.
- Advertising and analytics platforms may provide aggregated campaign and audience measurement data.
- Data and catalog providers supply parts, pricing, and fitment data. That data is about parts, not about you.
2.4 Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary — session management, security, load balancing, consent state. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional — remembering your ZIP, saved vehicles, and preferences.
- Analytics — understanding how the Site is used, including via Google Analytics.
- Advertising and measurement — including technologies provided by Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Google, and similar platforms, used to measure ad performance and to show you relevant ads on other services. We may add or change advertising and analytics providers over time; this Policy covers such providers generally, and our cookie settings panel reflects the current list.
- Affiliate attribution — cookies and URL parameters that let a vendor credit us for a referral.
Managing them. Where required by law, we request consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in our footer, and through your browser controls. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing for the browser transmitting them.
3. How We Use Information
- Run searches and return results
- Calculate shipping estimates and landed cost from your ZIP
- Match parts to your vehicle and decode VINs you provide
- Cache and expand our parts coverage based on what users actually search for
- Operate accounts, saved garages, and saved searches
- Attribute affiliate referrals and verify commissions
- Measure and improve the Site, including diagnosing data-quality problems such as zero-result searches
- Send service and transactional messages
- Send marketing emails if you have separately opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
- Advertise on third-party platforms and measure those campaigns
- Produce aggregated and de-identified statistics, including community savings figures and content
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, and security incidents
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
Aggregated and de-identified data. We may create, use, and publish data that does not identify you. We commit to maintaining it in de-identified form and not attempting to re-identify it, except to test de-identification.
Automated decision-making. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you through solely automated means.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf under contract — hosting and database (including Supabase), email delivery, error monitoring, analytics, customer support, and security. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners — Google, Meta, TikTok, and similar platforms, for measurement and advertising. This may include hashed identifiers and event data. Under California law this may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 9.
- Affiliate networks and vendors — when you click an outbound link, the destination vendor and affiliate network receive your click, referral identifier, IP address, and browser information, and are then governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
- Legal and safety recipients — where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a successor policy with notice.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, then delete or de-identify it.

We may retain information longer where required by law, for tax or accounting purposes, or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, least-privilege administration, and logging. D8A Force LLC maintains a security program informed by its broader compliance practices.
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and you provide information at your own risk. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.
7. Your Choices
- ZIP code — you can use the Site without entering one, though you will not see landed cost.
- VIN and vehicle data — optional; you can search by part number instead.
- Cookies — use the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer at any time.
- Ad personalization — adjust settings at Google, Meta, TikTok, or via the DAA (optout.aboutads.info) and NAI (optout.networkadvertising.org) opt-out pages.
- Marketing email — unsubscribe link in every message, or email us. We will still send necessary service messages.
- Account — request access, correction, or deletion at legal@landedparts.com.
- Do Not Track — browsers vary and there is no common standard; we do not respond to DNT signals, but we do honor Global Privacy Control.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact legal@landedparts.com and we will delete it. Users must be 18 or older to create an account.
9. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share
- Access a copy of your personal information in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this right
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (IP address, email, cookie IDs); commercial information (searches, outbound clicks, referral conversions); internet and network activity; approximate geolocation (ZIP and IP-derived); and inferences drawn from the above (e.g., vehicle interests). Sources, purposes, and recipients are described in Sections 2, 3, and 4.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through the advertising technologies described in Section 2.4.
How to opt out: use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer, enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email legal@landedparts.com.
How to exercise other rights: email legal@landedparts.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject. We will verify your identity through your account email or by matching information we hold, respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 more with notice), and will not charge a fee for reasonable requests. An authorized agent may submit a request with written permission and identity verification.
Other U.S. states. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights, including a right to appeal a denied request. Use the same contact address; if we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will respond within the period your state's law requires.
Nevada. Nevada residents may submit a verified request not to sell covered information to legal@landedparts.com.
10. If You Are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland
The Site is operated from and intended for the United States. We do not target or market to the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. If you access it from there, the following applies to the extent the GDPR or UK GDPR governs our processing.

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection (including to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing), and withdrawal of consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Exercise these at legal@landedparts.com. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers. Your information is processed in the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for details.
Retention. As set out in Section 5.
11. Third-Party Sites
When you click through to a vendor, you leave LandedParts. We have no control over and no responsibility for the privacy practices of any vendor, affiliate network, or other third-party site. Read their policies. Anything you enter on their site — including payment information — is governed by their terms, not ours.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. We will revise the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, post a prominent notice on the Site and, if you have an account, notify you by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Policy.
